Cambridge rapper Connor Donovan; Brownsville emcee, I.O.D and beatmaker Amawo connect for the first in-house release from Dojo Records.
A 21 year old Cambridge, Massachusetts native, Connor Donovan has been finessing clowns from Boston to DC with his people for years now. His range of sound is OD vast, varying from minimal, cumbersome love ballads like "Gone Too Long" to hard-hitting, bass-heavy cuts like this joint here. His ability to playfully hit you from both sides says a whole wrack of things about his spectrum as both a songwriter and a producer.
"Way Before" is a testament to the link-up and start-from-scratch mentality that hip-hop--and life--is all about, even if the Internet brought them together in the first place to make this record. Though repping various cities, Connor and I.O.D. have been insisting that they've been onto something for a while now, so y'all should probably start flexing with them.
