Mike S - Roc Solid Instrumental Album @mikestheprophet
Roc Solid is an instrumental hip hop album by Atlanta based producer Mike S. The concept behind the album was to recreate different samples and beats used by Roc-A-Fella Records and Roc Nation while painting a musical interpretation of what it means to be rock solid in life. The goal of the album is to entertain but also to encourage everyone who listens to be rock solid in their faith, commitment to their family, their profession/craft or anything else they are passionate about in life.
Mike S. strives for excellence in everything he puts his heart into and desires to change the world for God with his music. He is an accomplished artist, music producer, lyricist, and performer. In 2003 he founded the Columbia, SC based hip hop group The Elements in which he serves as a lyricist and the group's producer. Since the group's inception The Elements have toured nationally and opened for the likes of Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, 112, Arrested Development, Ghostface Killah, Talib Kweli, The Foreign Exchange and many more. Mike S now resides in Atlanta, GA and in 2014 he released his first instrumental album entitled Roc Solid.
Mike S' style of music is a mixture of cinematic, boom-bap, hard hitting southern beats. He likens himself to have a "big sound" with his productions which always include a beginning, middle and end.
