Born Charles Patrick Kosanovich Jr birthed by Diana Burke and Charles Patrick Kosanovich Sr., Kosan was raised in Jersey City, NJ. Early on Kosan was influenced by the music industry. He began playing instruments and break dancing. As a teenager he got into DJ'ing and production. As he grew older he became more actively involved in the hip hop community and realized his calling was to be an artist.
