I grew up on the west side of Detroit. I came from very humble beginnings and I managed to be the first in my family to attend college, soon to be the first in my family to get a degree. I managed to survive all types of things coming from where I come from, some of which I talk about on my tape. Creating something for myself has always been my passion. I'm not interested in the whole, go to college and get a good job plan. That's an old plan, I want to create my own plan. I want to make something that I can employ myself with, along with others. I also love helping people enjoy themselves and the company of others. That's why I love entertainment. Entertainment can command the attention of others while relieving them of all of their worries by engaging them with your art. I had my first realization of this concept when I starting rapidly gaining Vine followers. I managed to make it up to around 90,000 vine followers, getting paid around $500 a week to post promotional content. I then realized the power of having a platform and a voice, and it made me feel even better to create that through entertainment. From then on, I knew that I wanted to dedicate my life to the entertainment industry.
I grew up watching my dad work his butt off in the studio on his music and also producing for others. Therefore, since a very young age, I've had a love for music, hip hop music in particular. I made my first song when I was 13 years old and I have created many more since then. However, Michigan Weather is my first ever complete solo project. Michigan Weather was actually named after my dad's first ever mixtape. His tape was also called Michigan Weather and he appears on my tape on track 10 with a monologue titled "Be That Light". My dad also produced the beat for my "Pops Interlude" which is track 9 on the tape.
Like I said, this is just the first tape and I plan to keep going hard, unraveling my story track at a time.
