Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Major D-Star not only represents his hometown, but now represents his new area code of 305 in South Florida. Heavily influenced from watching the videos of Ludacris and Biggie, at the age of 6 years old Major sparked an early interest in music and from there he has not put down his pencil and pad not only as an upcoming writer and rapper, Major took an interest in making music.

Growing up with a local producer, Kyle Harris, (a.k.a. Pradda Milli), Major states that Pradda Milli helped him combine his life and his stories into his music, which allowed the creation of MAJOR-D STAR’s brand. Major recorded his first CD when he was in the 8th grade.

Relocating to Miami with his family, Major instantly started networking with local promoters, DJs, and meeting with big name artists. With the large mixture of different people located in Miami, Major was exposed to better opportunities
for his music career.

Major’s first break came from Sky Life’s Miami promoter Carlos Saavedra. Carlos connected Major with artists like Jowell & Randy, and also had the opportunity to perform at some of Miami’s hottest night clubs, such as Karu & Y, Club Space, Nocturnal, Club Mekka to name a few.
