New York City, - As a musician, producer, and writer, Shamel “Shamtrax” Patten has shown the depths of his work. Having worked with artists such as Chrisette Michelle, Jim Jones, Fabolous, Busta Rhymes, Bow Wow, and most recently 50 Cent (“Pilot”), Shamtrax is stepping out on his own with his new single, “6 Months Later,” The single is from his upcoming album Love + Time = Lessons due to be released later this year.
Shamtrax was always encouraged to explore his artistic capabilities by his family. Sham grew up in sound production and credits his producer/DJ father with giving him the musical knowledge he has today. "My father was a DJ & producer signed to Profile Records. I remember Big Daddy Kane coming to the house to get beats from Pops. I had seen how to put things together." Shamtrax's mastery of handcrafted mechanical vibration and surpassing ability to breed a sound as his own has positioned him as the producer to watch in Hip Hop and R&B.
